Summer Reading 2009 is coming to an end and we would like to take this opportunity to tell you to come in for some prizes, pizza, and fun!

Thursday, August 13th @4:00pm
Food, prizes and games! Pizza and soda is mandatory, and there will be a raffle for the iPod shuffle, $25 iTunes gift card, and 8GB Sandisk. No registration, just show up!
Kids Summer Reading Party
Wednesday, August 19th @10:30am
Finishing this summer with a party! Show up for a raffle for METS tickets and free passes to the American Museum of Natural History! Surprise bags with free books are given out to every child.

Fun in the Summer with A/C in the Library
Not going anywhere this summer? Come to the library, where we have fun stuff to do!
- Mondays, 3-4pm: Wii Party: Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, you name it, we play it!
- Thursdays, 4-6pm: MG Anime Club: Preview Anime from the Web, discuss shojo stuff, and other misc stuff we do...
- Fridays, 3:30-5:30pm: Chess Club: Exercise your brain with chess! It helps your strategic and analytic skills instead of letting your brain rot for the summer!
Auburndale Library Fact-of-the-Month!
- Blocks for library cards are raised to $15 (It used to be $10). As long as you have under $15 in fees and fines, you can still check out items!

Teens learn to choose foods that make them feel good, look good and have more energy. They'll prepare recipes from around the world, see a demonstration of knife skills, learn a holistic approach to wellness and prevention by making healthy food choices, discerning junk foods, tasting effectively and with respect, while learning new kitchen skills. Space is limited; preregsitration required.

Summer Reading Kick Off!
Summer Reading is kicking off this Thursday on June 4th, and everyone (all ages) are invited to sign up, just go to http://www.summerreading.org or click here to sign up! This year's theme is "Be Creative and Express Yourself!", so now is the time to discover your talent and show it off!
Auburndale Library Fact-of-the-Month!
- Starting July 1, 2009, you'll need a library card and a PIN to use the Express (15 minutes) computer. Visitors who are ineligible for a free library card may purchase one hour of computer time for $5 (good for one day only).
